Monday, March 12, 2018. Having despised reading throughout 20 years of school, I now find reading a vital part of life. The First Mate and I have been lugging around literally tons of books with every move, so I am extremely grateful now for my Kindle. I carry it with me wherever I go and you can find me reading almost every day while eating lunch at local lunch stops.

Friday, October 7, 2016. The smell was overwhelming in the hallway. Then I opened the door to her bedroom. The stench caused me to gag and nearly took me to my knees. As I approached her crib, she popped up and stood at the rail. Dried up, hours-old vomit.
Monday, April 2, 2018. the pre-teen years are trying to kill me. Me and they have been plotting for years for a time such as this - to come like a thief in the night - to steal, kill and destroy anything that looks like normal, pure living.
